About this Work
“La Traque” is a movie directed by Antoine Blossier in 2010.
The project co-written with Erich Vogel, harbored the ambition to produce a genre film with a human dimension.
“La Traque” is, above all, a film character in the great tradition of the cinema of the 70s.
The project had many versions before finding its final form. The horror will finally give way to an outstanding distilled suspens with great narrative and technique skill.
Eight weeks of filming at night in the middle of a rainforest have been necessary to carry the film well.
This logic simplification wished by the director leads visual effects to integrate in addition to prosthetics produced by Pascal Molina and his team.
A good coordination between departments and careful preparation upstream have allowed to optimize all stages of the process.
Ultimately PLUG realized about 80 shots of compositing and matte painting. Finally, the use of 3D was necessary to completely replace the viscera extracted by Nathan’s body first boar.
